Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop Summer Tour and HUGE Giveaway
When I first learned of Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop's Summer Tour I jumped at the chance! I had been eyeing several of these patterns (in fact I had already bought some that I hadn't gotten to sewing yet), and knew this was the perfect opportunity to make some of these too cute patterns for my girls.
Some really fun knits had just arrived into my shop and I was beyond eager to use them. I HAD to make the V-neck Cardigan, it just seemed so stylish and would easily make it from cool summer nights to the end of fall.
I actually loved this cardigan so much that I am making a second one with half sleeves, for when you just need a light layer.
I also decided to make the sporty girl skort because I love the look of skirts but know my kids would rather kick it in shorts. I especially like this one because it reminds me of a vintage tennis skirt with the trendy chevron.
I really loved using both of these patterns. They were super easy to print out and piece together (actually there was hardly any piecing together because they were drafted so efficiently with a home printer in mind). The instructions were very easy to follow and the pictures were so clear that I understood the pattern before I actually read through the instructions.
I think my favorite part of this pattern is the piping. I just love what a little detail can do for a piece.
I will definitely be sewing up a few more patterns from Peek-a-Boo Pattern Shop.
These are a few on my list:
